Cannich Hall is owned and managed by Strathglass & Affric Community Company Ltd. (SACC). The hall was previously run by the Highland Council and faced closure, so in June 2009 SACC was set up to enable the community to take ownership of their Village Hall. The hall is run and managed by a board of trustees and is an important and busy community venue for events, activities, workshops and classes. SACC has received various grants for the hall, including replacement and upgrading of kitchen equipment and utensils, foyer furniture, blinds for the main hall, exterior painting and acoustic panels.
SCF has also jointly funded with Soirbheas the post of a development officer who was appointed in September 2025. Funding for the role is for two years. SCF funding also contributed to the development of two affordable houses on the site of the former nurse’s house in Cannich.

Pupils from Cannich Bridge Primary School help out at the 2025 Strathglass Community Christmas lunch, serving festive food to 55 local people and with home deliveries for those unable to attend. This popular annual local event is organised by Strathglass and Affric Community Company and funded by SCF.
